I Will Come With A Lighthouse stands for a promise of hope and light. In times epitomized by religious bigotry, divisive identity politics, and an attack on artistic freedom, it is hope of a brighter morning and better future that we can hold on to. These poems are meditations on a crisis of the soul and engagements, negotiations, and conversations, keeping in mind the more prominent social picture. They are an acknowledgment of the translated nature of our lives, of the constant longing for a home, and the realization that specific journeys are meant to last forever. Sayan Aich Bhowmik is currently employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Shirakole Mahavidyalaya. He is the co-editor of Plato's Caves Online, a semi-academic space on politics, poetry, and art.
