Den 26. september 2026 udgives "Joy Division Eternal", et helt nyt live-bokssæt med en af de mest indflydelsesrige bands gennem tiden.

Sættet samler et utal af lydkilder, fra publikumsoptagelser til lydpultbånd til internationale radioudsendelser, og indeholder 16 komplette lydkoncertoptagelser fordelt på 14 CD'er, plus ca. 2 timer og 20 minutters livevideo på DVD, optaget mellem marts 1979 og maj 1980, kun to uger før Ian Curtis' tragiske død.

Lydkvaliteten fra disse kilder varierer meget. De fleste af publikumsoptagelserne lyder præcis som det, de er – optaget af en fan i mængden – og adskillige koncerter er blevet bredt bootleget. Selvom dette under normale omstændigheder kunne resultere i et suboptimalt kommercielt udbud, har Warner Music i dette tilfælde fuld tillid til, at Joy Division-fans vil fryde sig over disse officielle bootlegs og glæde sig over optagelser af højere kvalitet, især dem, der ikke før har været hørt.

I forlængelse af tidligere New Order Definitive Edition-udgivelserne, vil Eternal blive præsenteret i en 12" boks, med de mange discs præsenteret i 4 digipaks, + en softback 12" bog med nye liner notes af den britiske poet laureate og Joy Division-fan Simon Armitage, samt fotografering af bandfotograferne Anton Corbijn og Kevin Cummins.
