Heroes of Their Time: Dusk of Eritum

Brune is the only survivor of a massacred village in a nation that is torn by civil war. He escapes murder by happenstance that is neither luck nor fate. The young boy is taken in by the right hand of the King, who was the mentor of the man who murdered every other person in his village. The child is unaware of this fact for many years while secret magic boils inside him. His adoptive father is hard at work trying to bring the nation out of ruin and they bond fiercely as father and son. Neither one is aware of the true potential of Brune. When the intrigue of the court comes full circle, it is time for Brune to show his worth. After failing to become a knight and facing rejection from the court, now he must stop a curse with the power to blot out the light of the sun. Even if he can find where the path to survival lies, he will have to pass through trial and tribulation to make a home which he loves. He is headstrong, he will not stop, but perhaps in his dark age none have what it takes to live long enough to become a legend.
