Surely not, not Danny Barratt the experienced CID officer with the world at his feet, an old-fashioned policeman who took his oath seriously and believed that no one was above the law, regardless of the stripes on his arm? But it is. Danny's dead, failed by the society he put his life on the line to protect, day in, day out.
