When a stray kitten is rescued by a little girl called Patsy, she finds herself in a new and exciting world. She makes friends with the animals who live in her garden, as well as the other cats who pass through, and she builds a lasting friendship with the little dog, Oliver, who lives next door. A tortoise, fish, and even mice - the little cat meets many new people during her adventures - but will any of them ever stop asking the question: 'What kind of a name is Wait For It?'
