Digital Techniques for Emc in Switching Power Converters: Design, Implementation, and Experimental Investigation
Gamal Dousoky
Power electronics is an engineering discipline that deals with the conversion of electrical power using semiconductor devices. The semiconductor devices are utilized as switches, in order to reduce the losses. Switching operation generates common-mode and differential-mode conducted-noise, in addition to radiated-noise. They may cause serious problems by generating such switching noise. The ongoing proliferation of power electronics is expected to make the situation significantly worse in the near future. This book proposes and investigates the conducted-noise characteristics of many digital techniques, several of which are new, for conducted-noise reduction in switching power converters. All investigations have been accomplished by using FPGA-based implementations. This book is interesting to engineering students, beginners and advanced researchers who are involved in state-of-art electromagnetic interference/compatibility.
