The Philippines are known to be a megabiodiversity hotspot with numerous forest ecosystems within its tropical climate. However, the country is also listed as one of the most threatened ecosystems on the planet necessitating an urgent assessment of the country's mycoflora. Despite this need, resources on Philippine mycology have been scarce or scattered within available literature.
