RHODES, a city girl, must survive four years of Solitary on her very own Prison Planet. In a future where terraforming is so common that surplus planets are turned into 'cells' for a single inmate, she has to live off the land until the transport picks her up ... dead or alive. The penal system is supposed to provide everything necessary to survive the harsh sentence, but experience has left her suspicious of their 'help.'When defiance and courage are no match for bad luck, bad timing, and bad decisions, she is forced to trust a system that seems stacked against her.
