That's what Theodore Wainwright, a WWI vet, believes is the next step in his successful acting career as a detective in a popular mystery movie series. But when murder strikes RKM Studios and Teddy becomes the prime suspect in the investigation, Teddy finds that it's not enough to just play a detective. He needs to become one, for real, to clear his name. With the help of his best friend, Sally and his beloved cat, Penelope, Teddy has to combine his thespian, sleuthing, and covert skills acquired during the war to track down the real killer.
