This guide was authored by a former user of addictive drugs and attempts to offer the thought process of addiction from the point of view of someone caught within addiction. It is a world and logic that rational, healthy minds cannot possibly understand for the simple reason that it does not contain rational and conventional thought processes that guide a healthy person to sound decisions. You expect too much from yourself if you attempt to provide a rational explanation to the irrational world from which dysfunction, dark forces, pure evil and irrational thoughts make their home in the mind of the addict. This writing also attempts to explain in plain terms to those who experience their own deep pain, hurt, and search for answers that are associated with watching someone they care about, suffer with the addiction and fallout of relationships that result. I hope to convey in understandable and simple language the illogical thought process an addict uses to continue on in this lifestyle and offer some hope and understanding to those who care about them.
