Many people are overwhelmed in their bewilderment and wonder. My own path was blessed with all these things and so much more. This book recounts the darkest of my adventures through life. When I, like so many others, stepped up to the edge of oblivion, convinced that life was a battle that could not be won. When I stood at this edge I discovered a hidden strength deep within, and the events that followed changed me, shaped me in amazing ways that I could not conceive. Three Trees is an intense narrative of one soul's struggle to fight on following a near suicide attempt and temporary placement in a mental health facility. It's an often humorous tale of encounters with fellow patients who were capable of such depth, such profound feeling and truly honest emotion. They left me forever changed inside and ready to heal, to grow...ready to live. More than anything this book is a celebration of the strength that still lies deep within the most troubled of minds.
