Aimee Semple McPherson was a gifted missionary and healing evangelist, editor, author and founder of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel that today has over 67,000 churches in the world with 8 million members.

She became internationally famous as the leader of the 5,300-seat Angelus Temple in Echo Park, Los Angeles, where she conducted church in an attractive theatre-style. Her services became known for divine healing, where repentants would walk without crutches, regain lost eyesight, be healed of broken bones and leave their wheelchairs to walk home. Thousands flocked to her services.
