Scolopendromorpha (Chilopoda) of Taiwan: Collection, Description, Illustration, Taxonomy, Distribution. Jui-lung Chao 1. udgave

Between 1991 and 2007 more than four hundred specimens of scolopendromorph centipedes were collected from 100 sites in Taiwan. In total, 14 species of 5 genera, Scolopendra, Rhysida, Otostigmus, Cryptops, Scolopocryptops were found. Illustration of the morphological characters of Scolopendromorpha, and classification and description of Taiwanese species. The keys to the scolopendromorph genera and species of Taiwan are presented. A revisionary status, Scolopendra multidens Newport, 1844 is now a valid species. It is proposed that Rhysida longipes brevicornis Takakuwa, 1932 = R. yanagiharai Takakuwa, 1935 = R. l. longipes (Newport, 1845); Rhysida nuda brevicornuta Wang, 1951 = R. n. immarginata (Porat, 1876) = R. immarginata immarginata (Porat, 1876), and Otostigmus insularis Hasse, 1887 = O. malayanus Chamberlin, 1914 = O. striatus Takakuwa, 1940 = O. scaber Porat, 1876; Otostigmus multispinosus Takakuwa, 1937. = O. aculeatus Haase, 1887.
