Project Birthday

In a secret government base located deep underneath the forests of Michigan, experiments are performed on eight young children who were genetically engineered using extraterrestrial DNA. Can they escape their prison with the help of a reclusive young woman and a handsome stranger named Duncan, who appears on her doorstep unannounced. "Project Birthday" creates an unlikely heroine in Star Cole as she struggles with the knowledge of the origin of the children in order to save them. Star and Duncan find comfort in each other through their joint experiences of triumph and tragedy as they work together to rescue the children from the highly guarded military base. At the same time, the clock is ticking as a species of hostile extraterrestrials are plotting an Earth invasion in order to exterminate human life and reclaim the engineered hybrids created with their DNA. Can Star, Duncan, and the children reach the escape pod provided by a friendly alien race before its too late? And will Star be able to abandon her planet and the life she has come to know in order to save herself? To survive this ordeal, Star must learn to shed her tough exterior and let others in...and in that process she just might find out for herself what the true meaning of family is.
