The Weapon

In the second installment of the series Marie Lejour discovers there might be more to the origin of her power than just a simple curse. Marie has been asked to overview the training of Sarvesh, a young lawyer turned hunter. How do you train someone for a job you hate? Especially when he hates you?As Marie does her best not to strangle him, a series of demons are being murdered in the city. She would rejoice if their death didn't seem so ritualistic. Is there another hunter in the city? Marie, Sarvesh and Lucien have to investigate. As the winter solstice approaches, Paris readies itself for Christmas, and Marie has no choice but to fully lean into her power to fight the worst enemy she has ever faced.
