Jimi - All Is By My Side

Musical biopic written and directed by John Ridley following the early career of American musician and songwriter Jimi Hendrix, played here by André Benjamin aka André 3000. Covering the year leading up to his breakout performance at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival in California, the film follows Jimi as he moves from an unknown session musician in New York to the rock legend he is now known to be. The supporting cast includes Hayley Atwell as Jimi's one-time girlfriend Kathy Etchingham and Ashley Charles as Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
