Disturbed opstod i Chicago ved århundredeskiftet med en snigende, smittende og uforlignelig Nu Metal-vision, der har gjort dem til et af de mest berømte og kommercielt succesfulde navne inden for den genre.

Den 7. marts 2025 fejres 25-årsdagen for Disturbeds indflydelsesrige multi-platin sælgende debutalbum "The Sickness" med nye jubilæumsudgaver. Denne 1-LP og 3-CD-bokssæt udgave i begrænset oplag indeholder det originale album, b-sider, uudgivne demoer og en uudgivet koncert fra The Palladium i LA fra april 2001. Dertil medfølger en bog med sjældne memorabilia, et essay med nye interviews med medlemmerne af Disturbed og produceren Johnny K. Boksen indeholder også en plakat, et patch, et back stage-pas og et sæt guitarplektre.
