Shell
Pressed on cherry-pink vinyl, Gimme Shell is a 4-song 7' EP by NJ teen duo Marianne Nowottny and Donna Bailey (Shell). Effortlessly balancing spooky, dark synth-punk with bubbly girl-group pop, the release features distorted keyboards, Nico-esque vocals, and a lead track sung in Spanish. It stands as an essential snapshot of turn-of-the-millennium outsider DIY art-rock.
