Jerry V16 Granelli

Sonic Temple Jerry V16 Granelli

In its 2nd release, a double live SACD presenting the same pieces played on two nights, Granelli's two-guitar quartet ambles through the jazz cloakroom without hanging its hat. Terms like 'avant jamband' don't really convey what's going on; 'spacey ambient/improv/freeform roots'n'blues-cum-chamber jazz' is unwieldy. Says Granelli, 'I think of everybody as sound artists rather than musicians.'
