which acts almost like a history of the genre from the 1930s

through to the close of the '50s. Including the legendary

Flamingos, one of the all-time great vocal groups; or the Four

Aces, consistent hit-makers during the early '50s; the Mills

Brothers one of the earliest vocal units on display here and The

Ink Spots, who first recorded in 1935, who were probably the

Brothers' biggest rivals during the '30s and '40s. Songs by the

Everly Brothers, the Platters and the Chordettes make this

collection a must-have for fans of the genre.
