"Disco Collected" fejrer dance-musikken, som oprindeligt udviklede sig fra R&B, soul og funk fra slutningen af 60'erne og 70'erne og udviklede sig til en mægtig subkultur på diskoteker, med Studio 54, Manhattan, New York som et af de mest berømte og ekstravagante diskoteker over hele verden.
