David Hirson
In David Hirsons witty hommage to Molire, a troupe of itinerant actors, led by their writer-manager Elomire, are living the high life thanks to the patronage of the autocratic Prince Conti. But sparks begin to fly with the arrival of Valere, an actor suffering delusions of artistic grandeur. A delightful battle of wits and witticisms ensues, and the question is posed: what exactly is the role of art, and the artist, in society?
