Left at the door of a Texas farmhouse near the end of the Depression, he ran away from his foster home when he was nine-years-old. Mr. Wright was a hobo, farm and ranch hand, a woodsman and a hunter. He has also worked as a lumberjack, and a railroad section hand. He entered the military, where he rose to the rank of Colonel. In addition he has been a newspaper publisher, electrician and a minister. He holds bachelor's degrees in history and theology and a master's degree in business administration.
