Suck Free Poetry Volume 3: a Question of Caricature
Jonathan Clyde Moore
In the long ago, poetry was part of every culture. In recent years, poetry has been deemed intellectual in nature and therefore inaccessible by the unwashed. This is, of course, idiotic nonsense. Poetry is communication and if you do not understand a poem, the fault is with the poet, not the reader and any pretentious posturing is nothing more than arrogance and insecurity. Suck Free Poetry is communication. It?s poetry that tells stories. It include subjects that we all can understand because we all live on the same ball of dirt and no amount of pretending will make any section of dirt smarter. You may not like every poem in this book, and that is fine, but there is nothing in this book that assumes everyone but the author is a moron. There is quite a bit in this book that states the arrogant folks proclaiming they are smarter than everyone else or possess the only answer to life are pretentious fools. It?s because they are.
