The Original Queen of Punk

Patti Smith blev indlemmet i Rock & Roll Hall of Fame i 2007.

Hun er af britiske The Independent blev kaldt ”the original queen of punk”, mens The Guardian har kaldt hende USA’s ”punk poet queen”.

Patti Smith brød igennem som både musiker og digter i 70’erne, hvor særligt debutalbummet Horses hurtigt katapulterede hende op blandt punkrockens elite – og der er hun stadig den dag i dag.

Gennem årtierne har hun samarbejdet med nogle af musikkens største navne fra sin nære ven Lou Reed og til en af anden af punkrockens foregangskvinder i PJ Harvey.

Patti Smiths evner til at skrive digte som både prosa og til musik er uforlignelig.
