Regency romance directed by Emma Holly Jones. Julia Thistlewaite (Zawe Ashton) and Selina Dalton (Freida Pinto) have been friends since childhood. When Julia sets her sights on eligible bachelor Jeremy Malcolm (Sope Dìrísù) but is rejected and humiliated, she vows revenge.

She knows what he's looking for in a wife because he has a list of ten essential qualities and so she enlists Selina to pretend to be his perfect match and then eventually reject him. Selina soon finds herself torn between her friendship with Julia and her growing feelings for Jeremy, while the arrival of Captain Henry Ossory (Theo James) further complicates matters for Julia.
